Stealing your neighbor’s dog, and eating it Laotian food
May 10

Last Saturday, Raswan, Melvin, Philippe and I visited Gyeongpo Beach in Kangneung.  We were all hoping for a sunny day, even if it wasn’t too warm.  Unfortunately, we weren’t that lucky.  It was a cold day, but we stayed as long as we did for nostalgia’s sake.

Settling in at the beach

Melvin & the little boy watch Philippe enter the water

A dive in the icy watersThe water was freezing, but Philippe went into the water FOUR times.  Crazy.

Above is a video of Philippe jumping into the water.

Damn. I wanted to the first, or among the first, in the water this year, just as Bishop and I were last year. damn!

It WAS cold. I think the temperature was 18 C (64 F), but the water was much colder. Philippe hadn’t left Seoul in months, so he took the opportunity to go swimming, rain or shine.
