I barely watch “real” TV anymore, which makes me miss some of the good commercials on television, like this one for Cingular. The vocals are by Cat Power. No, not my Cat(herine) Power, but Chan Marshall, who goes by the stage name of “Cat Power.”
A better audio version can be seen HERE. I, like everyone else on the net, has searched for the version of this song by Cat. Unfortunately, it’s rumored that she recorded only a snippet of The Nerve’s original song, specifically for this commercial.
P.S. I didn’t notice this until the 5th time I watched this video (yes, I like it that much), but notice all the instances where the Cingular “bar” appears - like in the shower and on the opening scene on the street. Pretty clever.

I was reading what you wrote above the video and then part of your background covered it up. Now I don’t get what the big deal about this is to you.

The video I was able to see just the text above it including the title, but I went here using FireFox and it was fine. Just looks like an IE thing.

I love this ad too but had never noticed the bars!
