Gadgets/New Tech

Mac fanboys are in a tizzy because the new iPhone was announced today, and it’s NOT even from Apple! Cisco owns the copyright, which they applied for 10 years ago. Brian of Gizmodo sort of apologizes for misleading everyone, but not everyone is happy:

Brian Lam is an Ass

Damn You Brian Lam

I just don’t get this. Is the story from Gizmodo just made up, or what’s the reason for the angry responses?

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. He knew that the “iPhone” being released wasn’t made by Apple, but let everyone think it was. There was buzz about it, fanboy videos made in YouTube, and everybody generally got excited. Those excited people were angry that he let them on.

Hey thanks! The phone looks pretty cool… and it’s still called the iPhone.
