Groove Girl

Groove Magazine is a relatively new English magazine on the Seoul scene. It provides useful information for foreigners, articles regarding Korea and its culture, and a guide for what’s happening around Seoul and Korea, among other things. On my birthday, we were leafing through the December issue and laughing at one of the answers December’s Groove girl wrote to finish this sentence: I’m famous for… doing the band, Nickleback. WHAT!?! I don’t know how you can read that any other way… In defense of December Groove Girl’s answer, at least it was only a 3 member band. Could you imagine if she did Super Junior, the 13 member Korean boy band???

Groove Magazine

The funny thing is, I’m this month’s GROOVE GIRL! You might be disheartened to hear, but I’m not famous for doing any bands. I’m pretty boring like that. To read my answers, check out this month’s magazine. I’m sure you’ll find out something new about me. If you can’t get a hold of a copy, I’ll post my answers in a later entry.

Wow! You’re famous! And a very cute photo, to boot.

Did you plug your blog? (The obvious answer would be yes, but I could see why you’d want otherwise.) Looking forward to reading your answers.

To answer a couple questions… I didn’t give a link to my blog, just mentioned it. Shannon, one of the creators of Groove Magazine, was at my birthday party in December. A couple days after that, she emailed me and invited me to be February’s Groove Girl.

If you don’t like people smacking food with their mouths open, then Korea must drive you berserk!

Yes, I hate noisy eaters and seeing people’s food as they talk and eat, but have come to accept it. Sadly, there’s not much I can do about it.

Hello!!! Ms. L.O, your adoring public awaits. When are the contents of your grooving girlyness going to be divulged to your international fan base? I couldn’t get a copy myself. It seems most Viennese new stands don’t sell that many Korean publications :) Odd eh?
