Korea, Nights Out, Photos, Seoul

I’ve been feeling tired and overwhelmed lately. I’m three weeks into my new job, but don’t feel settled yet. I’m still getting a feel for how things are run at this school, creating templates/forms/attendance sheets for the semester, and planning how I want to teach the material. Since the beginning of the semester, I still haven’t had two full days of relaxing at the new apartment yet. I’m constantly trying, but never feel caught up or well rested. That’s probably one of the reasons I became sick recently.

On that note, I figured I’d to force myself to upload the St. Patrick’s Day pictures, even if they’re a week late. Otherwise, things will keep getting piled up and I’ll never get around to it. I wish I had time to write descriptions for all the photos and a detailed description of the night. Unfortunately I don’t. These are my quick views on the event:

  • It was fun
  • Worth the 60,000 won
  • In the beginning of the night, it was WAAAAY too crowded and hot
  • At least there was a free coat check
  • The place was packed with mostly all foreigners, which I expected
  • I basically only talked to the people I knew - I wasn’t in the mood to meet new people.
  • The food was pretty good. By the end of the night, I was SICK of eating smoked salmon, which is something I LOVE eating normally
  • The party started at 7 pm, and all the beer was out by midnight, if not sooner.

Haha… we’ll see. I have no problem jumping on the bandwagon, I just don’t have enough time to maintain them all. I have a MySpace waiting for me to do something with it.

facebook is so much better than myspace. first there was hi-5, then there was myspace…and now, facebook, it’s the “sophisticated” myspace. myspace is still good, but it gets a bit flashy after awhile. facebook is a lot better for interconnections between people, and highly addictive.

Nice Pics S!. That cook looks traumatised standing there. Poor guy!.

We celebrated St. Pats with an “over the top” Guiness night (some of the Laocooks have never seen “beer dum” before)!

Love the pic of the girl who couldn’t wait to sitdown and eat. “Might as well eat there in the line.”

I was going to leave a comment about how every single foreigner living in Seoul was at the Westin party, and you’re right about it being disgustingly hot and sweaty in there, but then I saw the facebook comments, and man! Facebook has infected everyone!
