Today I finished my giving my last final for the semester, the “Design Reading” class I was looking forward to three months ago. The book was fine, and at times interesting. Unfortunately the material was way over the students’ heads. They could have barely read the previous three sentences I wrote, but we were reading about things such as “ephemeral designs” and Calvinism. I hope never to teach that class again.
Even though my finals are done, I’m still obligated to finish the kids program, which ends next Thursday. From now until then, I only teach from 3:30-6:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Then next Friday morning, I’m off on a two week vacation to the Philippines!

Prices are expensive this time of year, but that’s to be expected. It’s a short trip because we’ve decided to work a winter kid’s program starting on Monday, January 7th. Raswan is hoping to get some good diving in, while I hope to lay on the beach and eat a lot. I’ll probably dive a couple times too, but am not as gung ho as he is. It looks like we’ll be spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve (my birthday) in the Philippines.
Speaking of birthdays, it’s my little brother’s birthday today. Happy 25th birthday Joe! Love ya!
Obviously, posts will be more frequent now that I’m practically on vacation. Today, I leave you with this little gem. Warning, NSFW due to language. Devoted customer upset Jimmy Dean downsized sausage.
