Remember last year when Brad, Ras, and I went to see the Super Bowl at the VFW near Itaewon?  Well, the event is happening again this year.  One of the guys there emailed me to remind me of the event and let others know.

• Where:  VFW Canteen in Haebongchon (two doors before Philly’s across the street from the Orange Tree, approx. 100 meters from Gate 3 of Yongsan Garrison).
• When:  Doors open at 6:30 am, Monday, February 4th
• What:  Watch the game LIVE with other foreigners and cheer for your favorite team.  Unfortunately, there won’t be any of those famous Super Bowl commercials.  Instead, you’ll be treated to those wonderful AFN commercials!
• Food:  Free breakfast buffet, which includes biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, sausages, and the fixin’s for breakfast burritos.  There will also be FREE Bloody Marys (until they run out)!
• Raffle:  There will be a raffle again.  Last year, prizes included some good gift certificates and iPods.  I was told two of the prizes this year will be a bike and some USO tours.
• Fees:  Directly from Jeff, “There are no entry fees and the breakfast is free, but as usual I’m sure they will put the donation jar out on the table.  It is not mandatory to give a donation, though.”

It sounds like fun if you don’t have to work on a Monday morning, and are dedicated enough to be there by 7:00am.  Seats are first-come-first-serve, so you don’t want to get there late, especially for the free breakfast and Bloody Marys.

Ras and I want to go, but he’s got to go to immigration on either Monday or Tuesday.  So, at the moment, there’s a 50/50 chance we’ll make it.  Hopefully we’ll end up going.
