I’ve been watching a lot of movies during these past two weeks that Ras has been gone.  In order, this is what I’ve seen.  It’s the first time I’ve seen any of these movies, except for Pride and Prejudice (2005), which is one of my favorite movies.

I’m also trying to watch all five Oscar nominations for “Best Picture of the Year.”  I’ll finish off the list by watching Michael Clayton and No Country for Old Men by the end of this week.  What’s the best movie you’ve seen lately?

I’m seeing Sweeney Todd after the other two. I’m looking forward to it… Johnny Depp’s great.

Thanks to the writers’ strike, I’ve found myself watching less TV (other than the latest Amazing Races — U.S. and Asian versions) and reading more. I just got a large shipment from What the book? yesterday. Books by Nelson DeMille, John Sandford, Michael Crichton, Allan Folsom (The Day After Tomorrow and The Exhile are awesome), and William Shatner’s Star Trek writers, Garfield and Judith Reeves-Stevens. I sure missed feeling a book in my hands, rather than reading them off a computer screen.

I haven’t cared too much for the last couple years worth of movies. I really wonder if many are destined to become classics.

I’m liking the writer’s strike too. I thought I’d be catching up on a lot of TV shows, but instead have been reading or catching up on movies.

    Sabaidi from Japan!

I heard about you from Laohub. You’re from Oregon. I just wonder if your family is from Sikhai, Vietian.

Now I live and work in Japan, been here 14 years now :) doing the same thing you do.

    Hope to hear from U.

The overlapping storyline of the Nines resolves itself nicely at the end…
