My Thai-China

(This photo was taken in the summer, when Seoul was a much warmer place to wander around in.)
Anyone know where Mao restaurant in Iatewon is? We’d like to have peking duck there tomorrow night. If we can’t find it, My Thai-China sounds like a good alternative. It’s on one of the side street by “3 Alley Pub”.

Did I see on your other page that Ras got a Slingbox? How is it working out?
Mine developed a bug when they released a firmware upgrade a few months ago, but thanks to the other slingers, I was able to fashion a work-around to the problem. It’s made a great product even better with the pop-up program guide and ability to pause the stream on the screen.
Have fun back on the other side of the desk. Hope you get some decent instructors.
Yes, after we visited you in Daejeon and saw yours in action, Ras got on the ball and ordered an HD slingbox. He LOVES it and is getting a lot of use out of it. Thanks again for the info.
How’s life in Daejeon and the situation at your school these days?
It may be a bit late for you, but I think I know where Mao is. It’s not too close to the main street of Itaewon and is in fact closer to the Hyatt Hotel. Go down Itaewon’s main street and turn right when you get to Noksapyeong station. Head past the second-hand bookshop, Thunderburger and Mi Madre and turn right when you get to the tiny Buddha’s Belly take-out shop. Keep walking up the hill and eventually you’ll see Mao on the left hand side (Look for the chinese restaurant with birdcages outside). If you keep on going up the road you’ll find yourself right outside the Hyatt Hotel.
Paul – Thanks so much for replying. We actually found the place after having a friend call another friend. The Chinese food was good, even though slightly Koreanized. I was more than happy to get my hands on some duck, one of my favorite meats.
