This is where I wish I was right now. And to think, I was here about one month ago today.
Colors have been given some oomph with saturation. (Click for larger view.)
Tomorrow morning around 5:30 am, I’m heading to the woods with my parents to go mushroom picking. No, not
those kinds of mushrooms. It should be interesting, since I haven’t been out near the coast in a long time.

These are pictures from the first day on Koh Phi Phi, or better known as where “The Beach” was filmed. When the ferry from Phuket manuevered into a small bay with a small beach, I wondered what we were doing there. After arriving on Phi Phi, someone told me that was “Maya Bay”, the beach Leonardo DiCaprio made famous. It looked a lot smaller than it did in the movie. Unfortunately, I didn’t include Maya Bay in this set of pictures. Next time…
The first day on Phi Phi was just spent on the beach and in the water. The water was calm and clear, the sun was out, and there were beers to be had (by others).
These are others landing on Phi Phi.
Raswan and Jason in the water.
This is me. Jason and Lisa (a Canadian couple we met) are in the background.
We were testing out Raswan’s new marine housing for his digital camera.
Consistency of the sand under our feet.

I’m still here in
It has been perfect beach weather for the last 3 days - not too hot, and a nice breeze. Two beach chairs and a little table were going for 100 baht.
The following two pictures are of the first sunset we saw in Phuket.
I think the two biggest attractions of Phuket are 1) the beach, and 2) the girls (or boys that look like girls). Can you tell who’s a boy and who’s a girl???
Three boys here.
Girl.
Not too hard to tell. She even lifted her dress a couple times and you could see the package was tucked away neatly.
