Groove Magazine is a relatively new English magazine on the Seoul scene. It provides useful information for foreigners, articles regarding Korea and its culture, and a guide for what’s happening around Seoul and Korea, among other things. On my birthday, we were leafing through the December issue and laughing at one of the answers December’s Groove girl wrote to finish this sentence: I’m famous for… doing the band, Nickleback. WHAT!?! I don’t know how you can read that any other way… In defense of December Groove Girl’s answer, at least it was only a 3 member band. Could you imagine if she did Super Junior, the 13 member Korean boy band???

The funny thing is, I’m this month’s GROOVE GIRL! You might be disheartened to hear, but I’m not famous for doing any bands. I’m pretty boring like that. To read my answers, check out this month’s magazine. I’m sure you’ll find out something new about me. If you can’t get a hold of a copy, I’ll post my answers in a later entry.

"NowPublic is a participatory news network which mobilizes an army of reporters to cover the events that define our world. In twelve short months, the company has become one of the fastest growing news organizations with over 15,000 reporters in 130 countries. During Hurricane Katrina, NowPublic had more reporters in the affected area than most news organizations have on their entire staff."
