One of the great things about Wordpress is being able to make my posts “private” or “password-protected.” One of the reasons I started blogging was having a way of keeping an online journal. I’ve been keeping a diary since I could practically write. Of course, you don’t want to share EVERYTHING with the world. You can see where my limits are, because I don’t like to us my real name on my blog. Of course, it’s been mentioned before, and I don’t make a big deal when it does, but… It feels weird for someone I don’t know to casually drop my name around… especially since I’m the only person I’ve known in my life to have this name.
But I digress… blogging has really become a way to have a personal diary. Plus, I love that it’s categorized and easily searchable. Five or ten years down the road, when I’ll wonder what I was doing in the summer of 2003, I can easily find out. Pictures, videos, music, text - they all help me document my life and share it with others… all on this little thing called a Blog. No wonder TIME magazine named ME, Person of the Year!

BTW-If you’re a feed subcriber, you’ll notice old posts popping up. I’m cleaning house and publishing all the “drafts” from the last year that I never got around to.

Wow, this is really, really cool… well, for Flickr users, that is. Unlimited uploads… YES! Free accounts are also able to upload 5 times more than they could previously.
Can I pay to keep more of my photos on Flickr?
Absolutely! Upgrade to a Pro Account for just US$24.95 a year. Here’s what you’ll get with a Pro Account:
- Unlimited uploads
- Unlimited storage
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Unlimited photosets (albums)
- Permanent archiving of high-resolution original images
- The ability to replace a photo
- Ad-free browsing and sharing
Compare that to what you get with a Free Account:
- 100 MB monthly upload limit
- 3 photosets
- Photostream views limited to the 200 most recent images
- Only smaller (resized) images acessible (though the originals saved in case you upgrade later)
Plus, I love that you can now share photos with non-Flickr members, not have them see the rest of your photostream, or expire the photo link you share with them. Flickr is near perfect now. Now, we just have to wait for the #1 requested feature - subsets!
Borat Video
For those of you that can’t get enough Borat, here’s the first four minutes of the new movie, which opens on November 3rd.
WXPN radio from Philidelphia is playing 3 songs from each of their 885 All Time Greatest Artist. I jumped in on #83, Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows”. It immediately reminded me of Christian Slater’s “Pump Up the Volume”, and remembering how much of a crush I had on him. A college friend once said Ani DiFranco’s “32 Flavors” (she’s # 80) reminded him of me, so that brought back some good memories of previous school days.
